Gratitude is a Superpower, so much so that a bit of gratitude nerdiness may be all we need to change our world.
Start with Now.
Start Where you are.
The journey of a million miles starts with a first step.
These are all catch phrases and cliches designed to get us off our lazy duffs and into a new habit that’s allegedly going to change our lives. You see these lines everywhere.
The crazy thing is that every single one of those lines is right on. Cliches are cliches because they’re mostly true. Cliches are about something that so elementary and obvious it’s hard to see.
If you’re finding yourself in a stuck place, if gratitude and abundance and positivity feel like a bunch of Pollyanna hooey (that’s a technical term; hooey is what my sweet daddy says when someone’s in the room who would be surprised if they heard a Baptist deacon say “bullshit”), I’m asking for your dispensation. Just give yourself a couple of weeks.
A couple of weeks of no pressure, but a couple of weeks of practicing gratitude at a level you haven’t tried before.
What I’m sharing here are my best tips for creating extra gratitude in your life. And I’m asking you to join me. In the comments, share your best ideas, what’s worked for you. Or your frustrations. Share those days, like the ones I had after I was declared “Cancer Free,” when I should have been feeling grateful, but wasn’t. When I felt bad for feeling bad.
Because sometimes you don’t feel grateful. And that’s the moment when you have to shut everything else down for just five minutes and purposefully crowd the negative thoughts out of your head with generosity and love, replacing them with gratitude.
I welcome your comments. I promise to answer every comment myself. If you need to email me directly, do so at bunnyterrycoaching@gmail.com. I promise to listen to your stories and your own gratitude nerdiness. If you can’t find any gratitude, I promise to help you get there.
I love gratitude nerdiness!
I want to hear your stories of transformation. Feature your stories and wisdom on my blogs and podcasts.
I want us to change the world, creating an impact not because we’re selling or promoting or marketing something, but because we’re using the energy given to us by God or the universe or whatever force you believe in to make the world a better place.
Make the World A Better Place.
That’s another cliché. And it’s a cliché because it’s true. You have the power to change the world. You have the power to make the world a better place.
Gratitude is a Superpower. And you already own it. You just have to put it to work.
I’m glad you’re here. Making the world a better place requires a lot of us working together.
Let’s make it happen.
