Bunny Terry

Author of Lifesaving Gratitude: How Gratitude Helped Me Beat Stage IV Cancer

Gratitude truly can be a lifesaver.

In fact, it’s a superpower.

If you’ve ever been ugly dumped, knocked off your feet, financially devastated, stunned by a potentially fatal diagnosis, or paralyzed by fear, you’ll find comfort and strategies for surviving and eventually thriving in this book. Bunny Terry experienced all of these and was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer on a day when she thought she was the healthiest person in the world. Her surprising journey through the maze of illness, treatment, surgery, and recovery, along with her stubborn daily practice of gratitude, even when she wanted to throw her gratitude journal off a cliff, will leave you laughing, crying, and hopefully feeling grateful, even when it seems impossible. Lifesaving Gratitude is, above all, an honest display of how ceaseless gratitude is a sustaining and healing force—a sort of self-mercy—that keeps a person oriented toward appreciation and optimism.  Bunny’s story shows how cancer can leave one stronger, more fully developed as a human being, a greater gift to others and the world.  Think of this book as a treatment…a curative force…a blessing in words.

There are no easy answers or platitudes for a stage IV cancer diagnosis. This inspiring book is a must-read for anyone facing a serious cancer diagnosis, as well as their families. I highly recommend it!

More of Bunny’s Writing

Cancer patients need our support and care.

That’s why a portion of the profits from every single copy of this book will be donated to CFFNM.

I know what it’s like to sit in a room with an oncologist and hear the words, “You have cancer.” I also know how financially devastating this diagnosis can be. In the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico provides true lifesaving logistical support to enable patients diagnosed with cancer to begin and fulfill their prescribed treatment.
