Here’s today’s 5 minutes of gratitude nerdiness.
Go through your photos on your phone. Sounds simple, right? But if you’re sitting in the doctor’s office, waiting on test results, if you’re facing a meeting that has the potential to be difficult, it you’re facing a call that’s hard to make, stop. Give yourself 5 minutes and pull out your phone. (I don’t know what I needed to day that, it’s probably already in your hand.)
Open your gallery and school through the photos. Go back a month or two. Find one you love, something that makes you smile, remember how freaking awesome your life is, how much fun you’ve had and are sure to have again.
Give that gift to yourself on a rough day. And then share that happiness. Text it to someone who’s in the photo with you. Give them an unexpected moment of contact. Don’t have and agenda or expect a reply. It’s a sweet life we lead when we stop to look at it. You can get through almost anything if you can remember that.
You are making me aware of so many simple tools for finding gratitude and I don’t HAVE trouble finding SO many blessings but I love to see what you come up with because it reminds me of the many ways of I can decorate my pathway to joy!
